
On May 26, 2022 the YSU American Studies Center organized an online conference on Zoom platform entitled “International Energy Security: Addressing the International Impact of the War in Ukraine on Energy Resources and Energy Policy”. The topic is tied to the unfolding events in Eurasia region, and particularly the impact of the war in Ukraine on the supply of oil and gas internationally. The timeliness of the issue reflects its importance for U.S. policymakers.
The meeting was attended by the teaching staff of YSU American Studies Center, representatives of the US Embassy in Armenia, students of the “American Studies” MA program.
The discussion will feature the following panelists: Arizona State University (Craig Calhoun, Director of the Arizona State University Melikian Center, Professor; Jonathan Kelman, Arizona State University School of Sustainability, Instructor); YSU American Studies Center (Tigran Sargsyan, Research Fellow, YSU American Studies Center, Associate Professor of Geography; Vahe Davtyan Political Sciences PhD, Professor at Brusov State University).
